The day started with me coming back from camp. I reached home at around 9 a.m. and then waited for them to come over to my place. Cs told me that they would arrive at 10.30 a.m. but then called at almost 10.45 a.m. to tell me that they will be late. Well, I guess I expected that lateness. We are never really early people anyways. They streamed in one after another at around 11.30 a.m.
The celebration kicked start with the cake cutting. They bought me a rectangular peppermint cake! *weee* It was a layered cake between chocolate base and peppermint cream. I cut the cake into triangles and we shouted “kueh lapis” before eating. *haha*
They bought wine too. However I did not have the cork opener at home. Hence, we are going to drink the wine some other day, maybe when we meet up the next time.
The gang made me a board game. It was called “Years Of Our Lives”. However, they did not present the board to me all in one. Each of them came up to me and gave me bits and pieces of the game - there were a plastic bag of folded stars and straw-made hearts, a bundle of coloured ice-cream sticks, a box of drawn cards and 5 star-shaped magnets. I was really puzzled when they gave me those little little stuffs. What were they for? The picture was then completed when the presented me with the board. Almost immediately, we began playing the game. Not much explanation was given. They demanded that I “just play”. Though it was a lengthy game that took us almost 2½ hrs to complete, I guess we had lots of fun laughing at ourselves.
After the game, we went to TM Pizza Hut for lun-ner (lunch + dinner). We took the wheelchair-friendly 21 there! I always wanted to take that bus but it was always the case of so-near-yet-so-far. After food, we went to the arcade and played that table hockey thingy. Had a horrible encounter with this ridiculous aunty though!! *irritated* We took neoprints too! It was then time for tea! We saw one of the star idol contestants at Ocha! zH left shortly after tea as he had to book in that night. For the rest of us, we sat at the playground and chatted till about 10 p.m.
